Season 5, Episode 8 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I start this show off by recapping what Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had to say during his Tuesday press conference about the upcoming preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles as well as his thoughts on the defensive line and safety Shamarko Thomas.
The Steelers have now re-signed defensive end Brett Keisel and extended the contract of tackle Marcus Gilbert so we spend a good bit of time discussing both of those moves and what it could mean for the rest of roster and the defensive line.
After going over the new practice squad rules, David and I move on to give you are projected 53 man rosters heading into the third preseason game. We discuss all of the tough decisions and even outline our practice squads.
We discuss the decision made by the Cleveland Browns to name quarterback Brian Hoyer as their starter for the regular season opener against the Steelers to close out this hour-long episode.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
