Steelers Versus Ravens Week 2 Projected Inactive List

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night and below is a best guess as to what the inactive list will look like this week. The official list of inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

Lance Moore – Moore sat out the regular season opener against the Cleveland Browns with a groin injury and failed to practice again this week. He was ruled out for the Ravens game on the Wednesday injury report and hopefully he will be ready to make his Steelers debut a week from Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Dri Archer – The Steelers speedy rookie suffered an ankle injury while returning a second half kickoff against the Browns and the injury has prevented him from practicing this week. Like Moore, Archer was ruled out for the Ravens game on Wednesday and he will be inactive.

Landry Jones – Jones will once again be inactive this week as there’s no reason to dress three quarterbacks. He has yet to dress for a regular season game during his short time in Pittsburgh.

Daniel McCullers – There’s simply not enough helmets to go around to warrant the Steelers big rookie defensive lineman getting one once again. Unless there’s an injury on the defensive line, McCullers will more than likely be on this list several times in 2014.

Chris Hubbard – Like McCullers, there’s just not enough helmets to give out to warrant Hubbard getting one. The Steelers normally only dress seven offensive linemen and with it looking like backup center Cody Wallace will be fine after missing some practice time this week, Hubbard should be inactive for a second straight week.

Wesley Johnson – Johnson is in the same boat as Hubbard. If Wallace were to be down, he would get some consideration, but as things stand right now, he will probably be keeping Hubbard company Thursday night on the Steelers sideline.

Martavis Bryant – Bryant is listed as probable this week with a shoulder injury that prevented him from playing against the Browns, so there’s an outside chance that he will dress Thursday night. The fact that he isn’t a big contributor on special teams, however, might result in him being down once again. If Bryant does wind up dressing, it would likely result in either Brice McCain or B.W. Webb being inactive. McCain was back practicing this week after missing the Browns game with a groin injury, so it might come down to how he looks and feels during pregame warm-ups.
