With seven weeks of 2014 season now in the books, here are your updated adjusted net yards per passing attempt differential stats (ANY/A) for all 32 teams.
As you can see, the Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers are now the top two teams when it comes to the differential stat thanks to the Cincinnati Bengals falling flat on their face this past Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Will the Bengals downward spiral continue this week against the Baltimore Ravens? I think that all depends on whether or not wide receiver A.J. Green makes it back as they are certainly a different team without him. The Ravens are certainly making progress as the season continues as quarterback Joe Flacco is playing very well right now.
Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Houston Texans Monday night, they’re differential barely moved. At least it is going in the right direction. However, they play Colts team Sunday that is strong in the passing game on both sides of the football. If the Steelers are to beat the Colts, they will absolutely have to force a few turnovers in the game like they did against the Texans Monday night. If they don’t, that game could get ugly in a hurry.
Have teams figured out how to beat the Seattle Seahawks defense? It certainly appears that way.
