Steelers TE Heath Miller Registers 500th Career Catch In Win Over Colts

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger rightfully deserves all of the headlines Monday following his career-high 522 yard, six touchdown performance Sunday in the win over the Indianapolis Colts but his longtime tight end also hit a milestone in the game as well.

Heath Miller caught his 500th career pass Sunday and that’s certainly worth paying tribute to. Miller also registered 112 receiving yards Sunday and that marked just the third time in his career that he topped the century mark in a game. He was six yards shy of his career-high 118 yard performance that he had against the Green Bay Packers back in 2009.

Miller’s fourth quarter touchdown reception now gives him 42 for his career and he is now tied with Buddy Dial for fourth place on the Steelers all-time touchdown reception list.

Miller is currently on pace to catch 68 passes this season. He still has an outside shot at 77 catches and that would be a career high for him in a single season.

Congratulations, Heath.
