Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell Named FedEx NFL Ground Player Of The Week For Week 11

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell didn’t win the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 11 after his career-high performance Monday night in the win over the Tennessee Titans, but on Thursday it was announced that he has been voted the FedEx NFL Ground Player of the Week.

Bell, who rushed for 204 yards and a touchdown on 33 caries Monday night against the Titans, was beaten out by New England Patriots running back Jonas Gray for the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award after he ran for 201 yards and four touchdowns in the win Sunday night over the Indianapolis Colts.

Bell’s 204 yards, however, were the most by any running back in a game this season and the fourth-most in Steelers history.

After the game, Bell made sure to give credit to his offensive line and even went as far as to Photoshop in the headshots of all five of the Steelers offensive linemen in his nomination picture for the FedEx NFL Ground Player of the Week award.

“Those guys just kept moving guys off the ball and making my job easy,” Bell said, according to Scott Brown of ESPN.com. “I got to the second level a lot, and you have to give a lot of credit to the guys up front. I definitely feed off those guys.”
