Steelers Vs. Ravens: Winners And Losers From Week 9

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens 43-23 Sunday night at Heinz Field to move to 6-3 on the season. Here is just a little sampling of some winners and losers for you to discuss. Feel free to add your own in the comments below that you think I missed.

Winners:

Ben Roethlisberger – Roethlisberger threw for 340 yards and six touchdowns Sunday night to set an NFL record for most touchdown passes in consecutive games. His 12 touchdown passes over the last two games broke the mark of 11 that was previously held by Tom Flores and Tom Brady. While Roethlisberger wasn’t sharp early on in the game, he more than found his rhythm starting midway through the second quarter.

James Harrison – Harrison was all over Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco Friday night and he two sacks in the game to go along with four total quarterback hits. One of Harrison’s pressures in the second quarter resulted in an interception and the veteran linebacker finished the game with seven total tackles.

Martavis Bryant – It seems that all Bryant does is catch touchdowns as he scored two more Sunday night on three receptions. He now has five touchdown receptions in the last three games and his presence appears to be opening things up down the field for the other Steelers wide receivers.

Antonio Brown – Brown continues to show why he is currently the best wide receiver in the game, He hauled in another 11 passes Sunday night for 144 yards and a touchdown. He showed some nifty moves after the catch once again and it included some well placed stiff-arms.

Losers:

Ramon Foster – We will have to see what the all-22 says, but it sure didn’t seem like Foster had a great game Sunday night. He was blown up a few times in the run game and also allowed consistent pass pressure throughout the game.

Heath Miller – Miller had a false start and appeared to miss quite a few blocks Sunday night.

Brad Wing – Wing punted six times for a 41.8 average. While a bobbled hold on an extra point resulted in him throwing a two-point conversion pass, those kind of gaffes just can’t happen.

Brice McCain – McCain gave up quite a few easy catches in the game and one was a deep touchdown pass to Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith in the first quarter.
