Bengals Open Up As Four-Point Home Favorites Over Steelers In Week 14

The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday and it’s a must-win game for the black and gold, who dropped to 7-5 on the season thanks to their home loss Sunday to the New Orleans Saints. The line for the Steelers game against the Bengals opened up with Cincinnati being favored by four points but it has now moved to three and a half at most online betting sites.

The Bengals escaped with a 14-13 victory Sunday over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and it doesn’t appear as though they suffered any major injuries in that game. While defensive tackleĀ Domata Peko missed the second half with an elbow injury, he said he would be fine after the game even though he left the locker room wearing a sling.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton battled the flu Sunday and threw three interceptions in the game on his way to completing 19-of-27 passes for 176 yards.

The Bengals defense has only managed to register 15 sacks so far this season and that’s six fewer than the Steelers defense has right now.

The Steelers are 5-2 on the road against Cincinnati under head coach Mike Tomlin.

Which big ben will show up . Which andy dalton will show up. If you don’t like rollercoasters don’t get on the ride.

hopefully the Dalton from yesterday and the browns game, and the Roethlisberger from the Colts/Ravens games

This might be the worst Steeler defense in 25 years and like all of Tomlin’s statistical records will eventually indicate mediocrity his 5-3 record against these guys will as well. Over under at 47 is interesting, can Ben muster 3 TDs?

With this team we could win this game by 21 points or lose by 21. It’s maddening.

You are correct. Ben is the straw that stirs the drink. If he can pull it together for these final four games we could win the division. If he doesn’t we’re 8-8 or 9-7.

Agreed that this one will be a roller coaster. It’s the games that should be like merry go rounds (Jets/Tampa) that are frustrating.

Don’t think Dalton has been consistent – ever. Think he’s the offensive weak link at this point.

After yesterday’s loss and the knowledge that this game means so much, I think there’s a good 51% chance the team will be up for this game and perform well. I expect a very strong performance. And if we win we can start figuring out our potential for the 4th or even 3rd playoff seed. If we lose, I’ll start looking at draft prospects.
