Chris Rock Calls Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger The ‘Original Cosby’ While In Baltimore

Entertainer Chris Rock made a Tuesday appearance in Baltimore at the Rotunda Cinemas for a preview showing of his movie, ‘Top Five’ and during his address to the crowd he took a shot at Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

“I was getting ready to say something really bad about Roethlisberger … he’s the original [Bill] Cosby,” joked Rock.

Rock is obviously referring to Roethlisberger being accused twice of sexually assaulting women on two separate occasions with the last time coming in 2010 for an alleged incident that took place in a Georgia nightclub bathroom.

While Roethlisberger was ultimately suspended by the league prior to the start of the 2010 season under the personal conduct policy, he never was charged with a crime. In addition, Roethlisberger was never accused of drugging a woman, unlike entertainer Bill Cosby, who has also yet to be charged with any crime despite accusations from multiple women.

I wonder if Rock will be making an appearance in Pittsburgh soon to promote his new movie and if so, I wonder if he’ll have any jokes about former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice knocking out his wife in a casino elevator.

So, is this just a comedian trying to be funny, or did Rock step over the line with his joke about Roethlisberger being the original Cosby?

Regardless, I doubt Roethlisberger will be seeing that Rock movie in the near future.
