Steelers 2014 Season Over Following 30-17 Loss To Ravens In AFC Wild Card Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers 2014 season is now over after losing to the Baltimore Ravens 30-17 Saturday night at Heinz Field in an AFC Wild Card Game matchup.

The Steelers were without the services of injured running back Le’Veon Bell Saturday night and the second-year Michigan State product was really missed. The offense only managed to rush for 68 yards on 19 carries in the loss.

The Steelers offense could only manage three first half field goals despite controlling the football for more than 20 minutes.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger finished the game 31 of 45 for 334 yards and one touchdown. He was also sacked five times in the game.

The play of the Steelers defense didn’t help matters against the Ravens as they allowed quarterback Joe Flacco to complete 62.1% of his passes in addition to allowing two touchdown passes. They also failed to get off of the field during several critical third downs during the game.
