Mike Tomlin Not Into Hypotheticals When It Comes To Antonio Brown Missing Workouts

After choosing not to attend the first week of the Pittsburgh Steelers voluntary offseason program, wide receiver Antonio Brown reported on Monday to workout with his fellow teammates. During his annual pre-draft conference that took place Monday afternoon, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked if it’s a big deal in his eyes had Brown decided to continue staying away.

“I’m not into the hypotheticals,” said Tomlin. “We had a good day today in the offseason program. He was in the group today and so I’ll leave it at that.”

That was the only time that Brown’s current situation was discussed during the press conference and as you can see, not much was revealed as it relates to him possibly initially thinking about holding out all offseason.

These offseason workouts do not become mandatory until the middle of June, so until Brown misses a day of minicamp, this will continue to be a non-issue. At some point during the offseason, Brown will inevitable be asked to talk about what his initial intentions may or may not have been. Until that happens, all we can do is speculate as to what his line of thinking has been over the course of the last few weeks. Tomlin, however, obviously won’t be doing that.
