Report: Steelers Have Visit Set With Bethune-Cookman LB Tavarus Dantzler

According to a Tuesday report on Twitter by Bo Marchionte of Football Insiders, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a private visit scheduled with Bethune-Cookman linebacker Tavarus Dantzler.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Dantzler registered 80 tackles in 2014 with 8.5 of them resulting in a loss. He only registered one sack last season, however,

At the March Super Regional Combine, Dantzler reportedly had 40-yard-dash time of 4.6 seconds in addition to doing 21 reps on the bench and vertical jumping 35.5 inches.

If you look at Dantzler’s highlight tape below, you will see that he lined up all over the place last season in the Bethune-Cookman defense.

The Steelers reportedly had someone present at his late March Pro Day, so it’s obvious they have some level of interest in him perhaps as an inside linebacker.

Dantzler more than likely will go undrafted later this month so he could be a potential post draft signing.
