Report: Medical Examiner Says Adrian Robinson Hanged Himself

According to a Monday afternoon report by Eric Veronikis of pennlive.com, former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Adrian Robinson Jr. took his own life Saturday.

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to PennLive, that Robinson, who was just 25 years-old, hanged himself. The Temple product and former undrafted free agent was set to play in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this year after signing with them in April.

In addition to playing for the Steelers, Robinson also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers during his short NFL career.

This is indeed an incredibly sad story as Robinson leaves behind a young daughter. An online fund has been created to help Avery Marie, who is less than a year old.
