Madden 16 Demo Video: Steelers Shutout Browns 7-0 In First Quarter

Last week we were provided with a few still shots of the new Madden 16 game from EASports that featured the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now a video has been released of the early build of the game and it features a quarter replay of a game between the Steelers and the Cleveland Browns.

Jim Nance and Phil Simms of CBS Sports call the first quarter action that features running back Le’Veon Bell scoring the only touchdown of the quarter. The graphics are quite incredible and so is the resemblance of the players.

Linebacker Lawrence Timmons looks like he forces a turnover during the action but the play is overturned.

    Love it!

It’s still amazing how awful those new Browns jerseys are.

    The user sucks

That one play where Bell gets the decent gain could have been a long run if AB doesn’t stand there like a goof!

Seems the things that have made me not want a new madden game since about 07 have not changed, even if those graphics are marvelous. It’s all just too slow, and not slow like a movie but like actually slow mo for football. Look at Antonio just standing around during a run by Bell, he literally gets bumped by him and still doesn’t move. I also don’t understand player’s thickness, look at heyward he looks like a stick, not to mention that super thin ben! It’s just so unrealistic, even if (once again) the graphics improve every single year

The blocking AI for the wide receivers on running plays needs work. They had Antonio Brown trying to tackle Bell… Timmons was lighting em up! Looks good

Terrible gameplay. I’m sure 99% of the issues with the last game remain with this version. Looks like they updated the graphics for the next gen but failed to fix or even want to fix core gameplay. Such a shame that EA has a monopoly on the NFL and they have no real threat to take the business away and consequently urge to fix things.

    Damn, Timmons!

  • The Notorious TOM

    Joe Montana Football pls :'(((

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

Is that going to be just for Xbox?

  • The Notorious TOM

Mobile and tablets first, PC the following summer if it does well.

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

Oh ok! I guess I’m stuck with Madden then!

  • The Notorious TOM

Give the mobile/tablet one a chance when it comes out. I think it’ll be better than people are expecting.

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

I need a controller in my hands! I can’t get into mobile gaming, gotta have buttons!

  • The Notorious TOM

You can plug controllers into your phones and tablets, you just need the micro-usb cable mane. I use a ps3 controller on my tablet.

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

Hmmmm, may have to look into that!

  • Jae Smith

Exactly I noticed tht too..ea still can’t get it right.. So sad

  • King Litt

It looks great! But the game play still looks terrible. I hope this is an early test version because plays like the one Brown basically threw a screen on Bell for the Browns, is a bust! That shows us that EA sports is only concerned with eye candy and not making the game play more realistic. I could start with the 2k5 comparison but no. Think of games like Call of Duty or Forza and how realistic they are.. The level of realism is phenomenal. The next gen console is extremely capable of providing enough CPU power to fuel the extra data to do the same with Madden. But EA just wont. It’s sad that games like Forza5 consists of around 43GB and Madden 15 an anorexic 15 or 16GB. That shows they put the minimum into the game. It’s a shame.

I only buy for the love of football and the roster changes, but there hasn’t been an massive upgrade to the actual game for a while even being on nxt gen consoles…

Wide open completion to Wheaton and computer Simms says, “When the window of opportunity is very small…” Guess they got that dope spot on. This game is still the same crap they’ve been shoveling for almost 15 years now. They really should be embarrassed. But they keep raking in the cash, so they simply do not care.

  • The GreekGeek

It was an interesting change in the game when they tried to get more “realistic” they slowed it down. NFL2K franchise used to do this and I didn’t like it. I loved the faster than human things you could do with the old game. They went to far with the “realism” in my opinion…

It looks like McClendon lays the hit that causes the fumble and Timmons recovers? They rated McClendon poorly last year… I hope he is better this year. My favorite part is the ratings. The game play year on year hasn’t changed much in the last 5 years or so…
