Steelers vs. Rams Injury Report: McCullers, Shazier, Wheaton Fail To Practice Thursday

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now wrapped up their Thursday practice ahead of their Sunday afternoon road game against the St. Louis Rams and the daily injury report reveals a few new additions.

After not practicing Wednesday, nose tackle Daniel McCullers (knee) and linebacker Ryan Shazier (shoulder) both failed to practice on Thursday. Shazier suffered what appeared to be a stinger late in Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers and while he’s yet to practice this week, I think he might play Sunday as long as he’s able to get some work in on Friday.

As for McCullers, it’s not looking good for him right now and he’ll definitely need to practice Friday if he’s going to suit up for the game against the Rams.

Wide receiver Markus Wheaton (chest) was added to the injury report on Thursday after failing to practice. Defensive end Cameron Heyward (elbow) is also a new addition to the injury report as he was limited Thursday.

After practicing fully on Wednesday, cornerback Cortez Allen (knee) was limited on Thursday. Allen missed last week’s game with a knee injury and it’s looking like he’s trending the wrong way this week.

Cornerback William Gay (not injury related) practiced fully Thursday after being given Wednesday off.
