Season 6, Episode 25 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I recap the Pittsburgh Steelers 43-18 win Sunday over the San Francisco 49ers.
There is a lot of good to talk about when it comes to what we saw out of the Steelers offense Sunday afternoon and the first part of our discussion centers around the play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers signal caller posted a phenomenal passer rating in that game so we take a look at that and go deep inside the stat. We tell you why former Steelers quarterback Bubby Brister probably wasn’t too impressed with Roethlisberger’s stat line. (kidding)
Wide receiver Antonio Brown continued to show why he’s the league’s best pass catcher on Sunday. David and I wonder if he’s hit his ceiling yet as he continues to stay so consistent on a game-by-game basis.
The Steelers offensive line also gets praise from us in this show and we both were thoroughly impressed with the red zone performance the offense displayed against the 49ers as well.
The Steelers defense did their job on Sunday and we talk about the breakout game that inside linebacker Ryan Shazier had. We talk about how disruptive the front seven was as a unit in the 49ers game as we hand out several kudos on that side of the football.
After a brief talk about the Steelers special teams play on Sunday, David and I close out the show by taking a look at what else happened around the league on Sunday with our special focus being on the AFC North.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
