The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to notch their sixth win of the season Sunday at Heinz Field over the Cleveland Browns and they now currently sit in fifth place in the AFC as a result. The snap counts from Sunday’s game have now been compiled and this week there are a few surprises.
Offensively against the Browns, Steelers rookie tight end Jesse James saw a decrease is snaps from his debut last week as he was only on the field for 15 snaps Sunday. Veteran running back DeAngelo Williams saw another full day’s worth of action despite having a sore foot as he played all but 7 snaps against the Browns.
After being used several times last week as an extra tight end, Chris Hubbard only saw the field for one play this Sunday.
Defensively for the Steelers, Cameron Heyward and Stephon Tuitt nearly played every snap in the game.
Rookie outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo not only saw his first defensive action of the season on Sunday, he played a lot on the right side as he logged 22 snaps in the game.
Even though he was healthy enough to play Sunday, inside linebacker Ryan Shazier platooned some Sean Spence and Vince Williams during the game.
