Season 6, Episode 45 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get things started by talking about the decision made by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday to waive running back Dri Archer in order to claim kick returner Jacoby Jones off waivers from the San Diego Chargers.
As you can imagine, we both how quite a bit to say about both of those players. Additionally, we take a look back at the selection of Archer late in the third-round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
What does the future hold for Jones? We’re both not sure, but we don’t fault the Steelers for rolling the dice on him.
The Steelers injury report is starting to look a little better heading into their Sunday home game against the Oakland Raiders and David and I go over it. We also talk about who might not get helmets this weekend in addition to the team deciding to promote cornerback Doran Grant from the practice squad on Wednesday. Is a move to safety in his future? We discuss that topic.
We move on to give you our preview of the Steelers game against the Raiders and that includes us talking about the ANY/A defensive stats for both teams. We both agree that this game probably shouldn’t be considered a gimme for the Steelers.
As usual, David and I close out this Friday episode with our look around the NFL and our picks for the remaining Week 9 action. This includes us predicting the final score of the Steelers game.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
