Colts Injury Report: Linemen Castonzo, Thornton, Holmes All Sidelined Thursday

The Indianapolis Colts have now released their Thursday injury report and there are three new names listed on it that weren’t on the team’s Wednesday report.

Not practicing on Thursday were tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee), wide receiver Phillip Dorsett (ankle), linebacker Jerrell Freeman (hamstring), center Khaled Holmes (fibula), linebacker D’Qwell Jackson (not injury related), quarterback Andrew Luck (abdomen/kidney), guard Hugh Thornton (elbow), and cornerback Greg Toler (not injury related).

This list of players does not bold well for the Colts offensive line as Castonzo and Holmes are already expected to miss Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Thornton is unable to play, Lance Louis would likely start at right guard in his place.

The Colts did get a little bit of good news on Thursday as safety Mike Adams (ankle/hamstring) was able to practice on a limited basis after sitting out Wednesday. However, there’s still no guarantee he plays Sunday night and rookie Clayton Geathers would likely continue to start in his place if he winds up being inactive.

Practicing fully on Thursday were linebacker Trent Cole (rest), cornerback Vontae Davis (hamstring), wide receiver Andre Johnson (rest), linebacker Robert Mathis (not injury related) and linebacker Erik Walden (heel).
