Steelers To Play Broncos Sunday At 4:40 P.M. EST On CBS

It’s now been announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers Divisional Round Playoff game next Sunday on the road against the Denver Broncos will kickoff at 4:40 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcasted on CBS.

The Broncos, who opened up originally as 5½-point favorites, will start Peyton Manning at quarterback against the Steelers. Manning was inactive for the game against the Steelers with a partially torn plantar fascia. The Steelers won that game 34-27 after overcoming a 17-point deficit.

The Steelers hope to have quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for that game as he is currently nursing a right shoulder injury that temporarily forced him from the Saturday night Wild Card game win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Roethlisberger, however, couldn’t throw the football very far down the field after coming back into the game for the final offensive drive.

Should Roethlisberger be unable to play against the Broncos, Landry Jones would start in his place. Jones relieved Roethlisberger temporarily against the Bengals and completed just 2 of his 5 pass attempts for 11 yards and a late interception.

The Broncos finished the regular season as the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 12-4 record. The Steelers finished as the No. 6 seed in the AFC with a 10-6 record.
