Steelers 2016 Pre Draft Visit Tracker

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now started to schedule 2016 draft prospects for pre draft visits and as usual, we will keep track of them in one separate post for easy reference.

NFL teams are allowed to host 30 non-local prospects prior to the 2016 NFL Draft and below is a running list of players who have either confirmed they have visits scheduled, or have already visited. The dates will be filled in as they happen.

If you want to look back at the pre draft visitors from last year, you can see the tracker from 2015 here.

I will pin this post to the top navigation bar for easy access.

Not sure what they see in Jayron Kearse? No way they’re looking at him as a Safety, right? Could they possibly believe he could make the switch to OLB, or ILB?
Maybe a replacement for Terance “Big Safety” Garvin?

  • D.j. Hoy

I’ve been waiting for this list. Love seeing who they invite. It really narrows down their board for us fans.

Spence replacement or passing down LB or running down box safety. I see Shazier as a hybrid. I believe Deon Buchanon on Steelers West as a perfect example. I’d love for us to take a 4th round flyer on an athlete with elite upside.

  • Matt Manzo

I loved Buchannon coming out! Makes me wish Cravens was more athletic, or wish we had a shot at Darron Lee!
I agree, i want an athletic SS/LB! Just not sure that Kearse is quick enough.

  • Frank Cordaro

What if LB Jaylon Smith falls to the 4th round…would you take him

  • Donte Williams

hell yeah i would take him in the 4th that would be a steal if he can get back to 100% hell i would take a flier on him in the 3rd my wish list for the top 3 would be mackenzie/jackson III in the first then Thompson, Joseph or Neal in the 2nd then smith in the 3rd but if we took him 4th i would go DE/DT in the 3rd its going to be an interesting draft as there should be some good/decent CBs on the board when we pick and we will see if the steelers think highly of them or not

  • Shaq Lawson has a bum shoulder so wonder if they can check it out during a visit

  • steelasfreek1981

In a heartbeat! I’d wait for that kind of ceiling

  • dwsteelers

Could you guys pin this to the main page?

So far 9/14 are DB’s. It may even out as we learn more, but I think it’s pretty obvious what part of the team they’ll be focusing on in this years draft.

  • Aj Gentile

According to Darren Wolfson T.J Green is visiting with the Steelers

  • John21

    in the 4th–absolutely

  • Jollyrob68

    Yes

  • Jollyrob68

Darron might still be on the board.

  • Michelob

I heard a radio interview with J.P. Holtz where he said he did not have an official visit with the Steelers. Which leads me to believe the second Pitt Panther to visit was CB Lafayette Pitts.

in the 4th, yes — similar risk-reward as Martavis Bryant. even if Martavis does not play a single down for us anymore, we got great value since he’s won more than a few games for us.
