The Pittsburgh Steelers signed their third-round draft pick defensive tackle Javon Hargrave last week and I can now pass along the exact numbers for you courtesy of former NFL agent Joel Corry.
According to Corry, the total amount of Hargraves’ four-year deal is $3,114,256 and that includes a $693,256 signing bonus, which is the only portion of the contract that’s guaranteed. Hargraves’ deal does not include any yearly roster bonuses and his salary cap charges for all four years will be $623,314, $733,314, $864,314 and $893,314.
Last year the Steelers third-round selection, wide receiver Sammie Coates, who was drafted 87th overall out of Auburn, signed a four-year contract worth $2,911,516.
Hargraves was drafted 89th overall by the Steelers this year out of South Carolina State where he recorded 13.5 sacks and 22 total tackles for loss in 2015.
