Joe Flacco Expected To Be Ready For Training Camp

Joe Flacco Ravens

To say the least, 2015 was a rough year for the Baltimore Ravens. Not that Steelers’ fans are going to sympathize but the AFC North rival dealt with similar issues. The loss of their top quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. And that isn’t even mentioning Terrell Suggs early season-ender.

But most of those players should be ready for training camp, including QB Joe Flacco, according to John Harbaugh via Clifton Brown.

Flacco tore his ACL in a November win over the St. Louis Rams.

In the ten games he played, he threw for just under 2800 yards, completed over 64% of his passes, and threw for 14 touchdowns. Flacco did, however, throw 12 interceptions, trying the second-most he’s ever had in a career despite the obvious decrease in attempts.

His QBR, if you’re into that kind of thing, was a career low 40.9. His previous low came back in his rookie season, way back in 2008.

Justin Forsett was confirmed back in April to be at full health. Suggs’ status, the result of a torn Achilles, is unknown, but all signs point to him being on track. Ditto for Steve Smith and the Ravens are even hoping for the return of tight end Dennis Pitta, who has missed tons of time with a career-threatening hip issue.

The Steelers and Ravens don’t link up until Week 9, November 6th at 1 PM. They’ll play the rematch on Christmas Day at 4:30. Baltimore swept Pittsburgh last season.
