Patriots Injury Report: 10 Players Limited On Wednesday

The New England Patriots have now released their Wednesday injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field and it includes several players being listed as limited practice participants.

Limited on Wednesday for the Patriots were tight end Martellus Bennett (Ankle), running back Brandon Bolden (Knee), linebacker Jamie Collins (Hip), wide receiver Julian Edelman (Foot), quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (Right Shoulder), defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton (Shoulder), linebacker Shea McClellin (Concussion), wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (Hamstring), linebacker Elandon Roberts (Ankle), and defensive tackle Vincent Valentine (Back).

As a point of reference, Bolden, McClellin, Collins, and Valentine were all inactive for the Patriots game this past Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite being listed as questionable last Friday on the Patriots injury report, Bennett and Mitchell both played against the Bengals.

On the surface, the Patriots appear to be a fairly healthy team heading into Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

This week reminds me of the week heading into eagles game. It was such a doomed feeling abou this team.

The nice thing is we are getting healthy, and the bye week is coming up. Green and Dupree coming into the lineup will be a boost to each unit.

Going to be a good test. I am anxious to see the real team stand up. I know Ben isn’t playing but that might be good for the team development. Ben doesn’t play defense anyway. Ben doesn’t play on the Line anyway. Let us see who steps up. We can learn a lot about what kind of team we have this week. Super Bowl contender or playoff level pretender? Patriots sure handled life without Brady. Our turn!

I would have guessed that they’d list Bennett (knee) and Blount (ankle).

I agree I will be happy if the guys step up and make it a game (I dont care if they win or lose as long as they keep it competitive) would be huge turnaround if the D played well enough to keep them in the game, and if they do, guys like AB and Bell could take over and steal a win

I am with you guys. I would love to see the team take a balls to the wall attitude and play like the Dolphins did last week, on fire.

Didn’t know Dupree was back , that is a boost !

  • Ijustdontknowanymore

I bet we don’t see Dupree until December. Green will not be a factor with Jones at QB. Our line did nothing last week and it would not surprise me if we see Zack before halftime because Jones was limping off. Hope I am wrong.

Agreed I’m starting to come around to thinking that Landry is gonna shock the world

Brady, Edelman, Gronk will play; Belichick will coach the pants off Tomlin and we will lose. That’s the skinny of it. And it’s the Belichick factor that is most significant. Of course Belichick usually out-coaches his adversary so we shouldn’t feel like we’re special.

    Not listed:

    Aeris Gainsborough (pulse)

  • David Paul

Heading *into* the Eagles game? We were 2-0.

Dupree and Green are not practicing even though eligible to. That is not a good sign.
