Antonio Brown And Odell Beckham Jr. Hang Out Day Before The Game

Little bit of news on the softer side for gameday. Typically, friends on opposing teams on weeks where they face off won’t even talk to each other. But Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham Jr. have bucked the norm and taken things a step further.

On AB’s snapchat, and latter his Twitter account, he posted a video of he and Beckham Jr. hanging out last night, a day before the Pittsburgh Steelers host the New York Giants.

And here’s another shot from Brown’s Snapchat.

It’s unclear exactly where their friendship formed but it’s existed for a number of years. We wrote back in June the pair trained in Florida during the summer along with a host of other top talents – Teddy Bridgewater and Jarvis Landry to name a few. Brown and Bridgewater are both Miami bred while OBJ and Landry are from Louisiana. Maybe that’s the connection.

And of course, Brown and Beckham Jr. are two of the top five wide receivers in the league so they’re part of a small fraternity. Both are having elite seasons. Brown leads the league with 82 receptions and 10 touchdowns while Beckham is top ten in catches, yards, and touchdowns.

Maybe they will celebrate each other’s touchdowns in the end zone………..offsetting penalties???

Brown reminds me of Rodman w/ his tremendous on the field play and then there is the self centered antics that both display that I just can’t understand. Both seem to be looking for attention, maybe something they lacked at home growing up, I don’t really know. But I believe that seeking praise (public adulation) is a sad trait in that instead they both should look towards the simple respect one will be looked upon with from dignity, character and class- like Heath and Jerry Rice.

Now that’s funny- thanks for the chuckle. 🙂

I have been hoping that the AB smile and talent would get him an extra 100 million in endorsements. Looking good for him with some big time commercials and stuff. I love it as I hope he will continue to give the Steelers a discount which would go a long way towards winning Lombardis.

Sure, he and the others need to be a little smarter about the celebrations. But he is being targeted by the NFL as others get away with the same sort of stuff that AB does, while he always gets flagged. Do a variation of your signature wiggle and then you can go crazy on your sideline.

There are people doing a lot worse things than AB.

to be honest, you just seem out of touch with the younger generation. this is what 90% of young people do now, post their entire lives on social media. AB just looks like he enjoys having fun to me.

Rivalries get all the attention, but personally I like it when players who compete in the league are great friends off the field. It’s the epitome of good sportsmanship.

Yep.. I did it until I turned 30 then it just started to seem like I was trying to act young lol. If I was an athlete in my 20s I would be doing social media every second of every day enjoying the attention and best times of life.

Says the guy looking for attention by posting comments on the internet, lol.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that AB’s oratory skills aren’t his strong suit? I believe what he says, but the way he says it just doesn’t leave much of an impact with me. He always sounds kinda robotic or disjointed when he talks. I’d pay him to endorse stuff all day, but I’m not giving him speaking roles in TV commercials!

Hopefully he took OBJ down to the strip and got him hammered!!! (While he was drinking colored water, lol!)

The Ronald and the genius, deadly combination.

We are educated by sharing perspectives, listening and learning.

I don’t think it’s so much as acting young as more like a development process as we grow older and become more objective/ wiser. Like I look back now and regret not listening to my older relatives in my life choices or the paths I’ve taken.

  • Craig M

Out of touch of course it’s part of the lack of communication between generations- it’s always existed. The driving down the street w/ your radio blasting and your windows rolled down or your car jumping up and down is, to me, looking for attention and often times just plain disrespectful. But that has been something the younger generation has done forever, except the disrespect/ dis-association the younger generations have now seem greater. I’m glad I grew up in a world where we played sports outside when we were younger or lived in our own adventurous world, than merely sitting around texting in a two dimensional world. ABs world is onto himself but when he gets the team penalized it is then on a whole different plain.

I bet there’s some college in California that would love you to teach all about your hypocritical points of view.

I think the rule says the choreographed celebration has to be between teammates. So, I think we’re good.
