The Terrible Podcast – Talking Steelers Bengals Preview With Paul Dehner Jr., Bell News, Weekly Picks & More

Season 7, Episode 55 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, David Todd and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

We go over the Steelers Thursday injury report early in this show and update that much later after the Friday injury report was released.

We talk a little about what defensive coordinator Keith Butler had to say Thursday in addition to the news that surfaced Friday morning related to running back Le’Veon Bell and him potentially getting the franchise tag during the offseason.

In the second half of the show we are joined by Paul Dehner Jr., who covers the Bengals for the Cincinnati Enquirer. We pepper Paul with questions concerning the Bengals and the upcoming game. We also get his prediction late in the interview. Hopefully you are already following Paul on Twitter at @pauldehnerjr and reading his work online as well.

David and I mop up this Friday show by talking a little more about Sunday’s game before giving you our weekly picks for all the Week 15 games in the NFL

As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.

I disagree with David Todd – making the playoffs is not what would make the Bengal’s season. Given the choice; Bengals would rather beet the Steelers than make it to the playoffs. They have stashed Green on the injured list until this game so that they could unleash some surprise plays.

As for you Flacco vs Dalton question I go Flacco. I am not a big fan of either but Flacco had that incredible playoff stretch and how do we ultimately judge QB’s? Winning on the big stage. Dalton may never even win a playoff game.

As for Ayers vs Richardson I would put the odds much higher on Ayers. There is a chance they use him on return and Touissant barely sees the field from the 2 spot so I don’t see much need for Richardson.

  • I don’t think Green is playing. Also, they would rather ‘beet’ the Steelers? Now THAT’S red. LOL

  • Bell must have at least 80 yards rushing and hopefully at least 50 yards receiving. I see Bell having another 3 TD-rushing game today, and the defense coming up with at least 3 sacks. Look for our two rookie DBs to have another good game. Let’s just hope Big Ben can keep the interceptions down to a minimum. Hopefully none.

    Steelers 28 Bengals 19

  • I’d take Flacco, simply because he’s the better QB.

Please allow me to live in my fears.
