The Pittsburgh Steelers are going back to the Divisional Round of the AFC playoffs once again thanks to their big win Sunday over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
The Steelers will play the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday on the road at Arrowhead Stadium in a game that will once again get underway at 1:05 PM ET.
In a Week 4 game at Heinz Field, the Steelers beat the Chiefs 43-14 in a contest that included quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 300 yards and five touchdowns.
The Steelers defense sacked Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith four times in that earlier meeting between the two teams with defensive end Cameron Heyward registering three of them. Heyward, however, has since been lost for the season to a torn pectoral muscle.
The earlier-season meeting between the Steelers and Chiefs also marked the 2016 debut of running back Le’Veon Bell, who was forced to sit out the first three games due to a suspension. Bell rushed for 144 yards against the Chiefs in addition to catching five passes for another 34 yards.
The Chiefs won the AFC West this season with a 12-4 record which was also good enough to earn them a first-round bye in the playoffs.
The Steelers offense will face a Chiefs defense that registered 28 sacks on the season. Outside linebacker Dee Ford leads them in that statistical category with 10. The Chiefs defense also registered a league-best 33 takeaways during the regular season.
The Chiefs are currently favored to beat the Steelers at most online betting sites.
The Steelers and Chiefs have only met in the playoffs once previously with Kansas City winning that 1993 Wild Card game 27-24 in overtime.
