First Offseason Weekend Of 2017: Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday once again and welcome to the NFL offseason. Thankfully, we only have two and a half weeks until the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine gets underway in Indianapolis and a month until free agency starts. In the meantime, we plan on keeping you entertained here with several draft profiles in addition to some mock drafts along with countless other articles and news-related posts.

Now is probably a great time to officially and publicly welcome Daniel Valente, Sean McKaveney and Conor O’Leary to the site. They’ve all been contributing for some time now and we hope to have them around for quite a while. All three have been producing some great content thus far.

The start of the offseason for me includes the hated yearly tax preparation and my accountant has already called me a few times needing various things from me. At some point, I’ll need to fly back to Florida for a few days as well to take care of a few personal related matters and I do not look forward to that one bit.

Little Finley Pearl is still not fully potty trained, but she’s getting closer. I still spend several hours a day in the kitchen on a computer that’s set up in there in order to watch her. It really messes up my traditional work flow.

Ok, as usual, I have five new questions for you to answer on this Friday night and I hope you will entertain me by answering each one in the comments below.

By the way, user WeWantDaTruth won the Super Bowl LI prop contest that we ran last week as he correctly guessed 13 of the 20 questions related to the game. I’ll make sure to do that same contest next year.

1 – Do you currently have a draft prospect that you would deem your favorite that you ultimately believe has a good shot at being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers?

2 – There hasn’t been a lot of talk about defensive end Ricardo Mathews since the season end. Being as he’s slated to be an unrestricted free agent, are you hoping he’ll be re-signed by the Steelers in the coming weeks and months?

3 – It’s way too early for this question, but I’ll give it to you anyway. How many tight ends will be drafted in the first two rounds this year?

4 – Should quarterback Landry Jones not re-sign with the Steelers during the offseason, name the team you think he’ll ultimately land with.

5 – It probably won’t happen, but should the New York Jets part ways with Steve McLendon during the offseason, would you like to have him back in Pittsburgh on a one-year contract for the minimum even if it results in him taking the roster spot of Daniel McCullers, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract?
