Three Steelers Participating In 2017 Football Without Barriers Camps

Some fun offseason fodder for you with a pretty cool message. DeAngelo Williams, Roosevelt Nix, and Zach Mettenberger have all joined several other NFL players in Finland for this year’s Football Without Barriers.

Nix and Williams have posted a ton of clips of their trip on Instagram the last few days. There’s been some fun experiences too, like this clip of Williams and Nix jumping into Finland’s freezing waters.

Fair warning. A bit of NSFW language, the stuff you’d probably say if you just jumped into freezing cold water.

And of course, some sight seeing.

…??? issa Finland vibe ???…

Steelers’ Nation is everywhere, including Finland.

Others NFL’ers making the trip include: Cleveland’s Gary Barnidge, Atlanta’s Alex Mack and Ben Garland, and Miami’s Jordan Cameron.

More importantly. American Football Without Barrier’s offers free football camps to spread knowledge of the game and the vital teachings the game provides. From their website.

“The players will also hold a Coaches Clinic with in-class instruction and on-field implementation. As part of their global goodwill tour, the players have designated two days of community outreach and will be visiting various non-profits in and around Finland.”

Previous camps have been held in China, Brazil, Turkey, and Egypt, the last of which Williams attended a year ago. They also provide several free camps stateside as well.
