Report: Jerome Bettis Out As ESPN Analyst

ESPN has been laying off several employees over the course of the last several weeks and it appears as though former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis has seen his time come to an end with the sports media giant as part of those cuts.

According to a Monday morning report by Sporting News, Bettis, who has been with ESPN since 2013, is one of roughly 100 employees recently let go by the network. Bettis has yet to confirm the report, however.

It will now be interesting to see where Bettis lands next as a major media analyst. The Hall of Fame running back at least has several years of experience in the sports analyst field. He does, however, still host ‘The Jerome Bettis Show’ on WPXI-TV.

Bettis retired from the NFL as a member of the Steelers after the team won Super Bowl XL in his hometown of Detroit in early 2006. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
