Season 8, Episode 95 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, David Todd and I get right to talking about a few unrestricted free agents the Pittsburgh Steelers just recently re-signed and whether or not we think those players will ultimately make the team’s final 53-man roster.
The Steelers also signed free agent safety Nat Berhe this past week, so we wrap up some final thoughts on his addition and if veteran safety J.J. Wilcox will ultimately make it to the start of training camp.
David and I go over how serious the Steelers draft needs are this year as opposed to some previous years. We also talk about how the contract status of inside linebacker Vince Williams plays a big role in the Steelers needs this year. Will we see four inside linebackers get drafted before the Steelers 28th overall selection? We discuss that topic in addition to talking about Former Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans not running this offseason and if that’s a big deal.
How many quarterbacks will come off the board before the Steelers first-round selection and will the New England Patriots draft one of them? David and I discuss that topic in addition to going over the recent trade they made with the Los Angeles Rams that now results in them having two first-round selections in this year’s draft.
We talk about the Baltimore Ravens and their quarterback situation for a little bit in addition to discussing some other minor news and notes to close out the show. We also let you know which players were brought to Pittsburgh for pre-draft visits on Thursday.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
