Every season I go through the whole NFL schedule game by game and try to predict each game winner before the start of season. Opening Statement: So much has happened since the final 2009 season game against Miami and the start of the season must be a welcome sight for the Steelers players and coaches. The preseason was a bit of a blur and was overall a success until quarterback Byron Leftwich went down with a MCL injury in the final game against Carolina. The roster has been paired down to 53 and features 8 rookie draft picks and 17 players 30 years of age or over, 10 of which are defensive players.

The Steelers announced their 2010 training camp schedule today. The team will report to training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe on July 30th and will hold their first practice on July 31st. All afternoon practices are open and begin at 2:55 p.m. The only night practice will take place August 6th at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. The team breaks camp on August 20th.
Below is the schedule of training camp practices open to the public and the afternoon practices generally run from 2:55 p.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. All times are Eastern Time. The campus opens to the public

The NFL released the full schedule of (OTA's) Organized Team Activities and mini-camp dates for the 2010 season on Wednesday. The Steelers will continue their own OTA's on May 18th through the 20th with a mini-camp running this weekend. Below is the full 2010 Steelers OTA & Mini-Camp Schedule.

The Steelers will play one nationally televised preseason game and will host the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers at Heinz Field during the 2010 preseason, the team announced Wednesday.
The Steelers will open the 2010 preseason at home against the Detroit Lions the weekend of Aug. 13-15. It will be the first time the Lions have visited Heinz Field in the preseason since 2001 when the Steelers hosted Detroit in the stadium's inaugural game.

Below are the opponents on the Steelers 2010 schedule. The Steelers of course will play all 3 teams in the AFC North twice. They will play all 4 teams in the AFC East and all 4 teams in the NFC South. The 2 remaining games will be determined following week 17 as the Steelers would play the Titans and Raiders if the season ended today. I will add the final 2 opponents following week 17. The dates and times will not be announced until the official schedule is released.
