Fortenbaugh reports that the wagering is currently capped at $2,000 per game right now, but that amount will be increased to $5,000 per game as the season gets closer. As you can see by the weekly list of odds below that the Pittsburgh Steelers are right now favored in 11 of their 15 games listed with spreads. The only games they are Read more [...]
By Jeremy Hritz It is hard to believe that football fans still have a little over four months to agonize through before enjoying a regular season NFL game. And while Pittsburgh fans are finding some distraction in the Penguins (for better or worse), nothing can replace the void left behind by the end of the 2011 NFL season. Small indications that the season is getting near are starting to burgeon, like the release of the 2012 schedule and the draft being only a few days away. With the schedule release, we can begin to draw some conclusions and make some assumptions about the Steelers chances Read more [...]

The official release of the 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers schedule remains a few hours away but Gerry Dulac has reported via Twitter that the Steelers will indeed open up the 2012 season in Denver against the Denver Broncos and new quarterback Peyton Manning. The Broncos have been speculated as a possible week one opponent of the Steelers for the last several weeks. The down side to this news is that the Steelers will likely be without the services of veteran safety Ryan Clark, who has sat out the last few games played in Denver because of a sickle-cell trait that could cause him harm in the thin Read more [...]
The NFL announced the 2012 preseason schedules today for all 32 teams and the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers in their four preseason games. The most interesting game as far as subplots goes on the preseason schedule is the one against the Colts that will be played at Heinz Field. Former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians is now the Colts offensive coordinator and the game will likely feature Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, who will likely be drafted first overall by the Colts later this month. Mike Klis, Denver Broncos beat writer from The Denver Post, reported Tuesday that the Broncos have received word there is a strong chance they will play their season opener Sept. 9 on NBC's "Sunday Night Football." Klis speculates that the Broncos opponent for that game could very well be the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New Orleans Saints or the New England Patriots. Klis also goes on to speculate that the Saints might not be the choice in light of the recent Bountygate scandal and the Patriots may not be the choice because that game is on the road. Should the Steelers indeed wind up playing Read more [...]
