According to Pittsburgh Steelers PR man Burt Lauten on Twitter, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had minor surgery Wednesday on his right knee that was the result of slight discomfort this offseason. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement that they advised Roethlisberger to get the surgery done now to ensure he will be completely healthy for the start of training camp in July and that the procedure will have no long-term effects on his health. The Pittsburgh Steelers waived/injured tight end TE Zack Pianalto on Monday and he is now on their injured reserve list after clearing waivers Tuesday. Pianalto had suffered some sort of calf injury during the Steelers second week of OTA practices which resulted in him needing to be waived injured.
