The Saturday injury report for the Pittsburgh Steelers is now out as they prepare to take on the Kansas City Chiefs Monday night at Heinz Field.
As expected, safety Troy Polamalu (calf), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle), and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) have all been ruled out for the game.
Running back Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) is listed as doubtful on the final injury report of the week and running back Isaac Redman announced on Saturday that he will get the start Monday night.

The Friday injury report for the Kansas City Chiefs is now out as they continue to prepare to play the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday night at Heinz Field.
Guard Jeff Allen (head), cornerback Javier Arenas (head), running back Jamaal Charles (neck), wide receiver Terrance Copper (calf), running back Nate Eachus (head), and wide receiver Devon Wylie (hamstring) all practiced fully for a second consecutive day on Friday and all should be good to go by game-time Monday night.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chris Rainey practiced fully for a second consecutive day on Friday after injuring his ribs Sunday in the win over the New York Giants.
Rainey, who said on Thursday that he cracked a rib when he was tackled during a third quarter kickoff return, talked to the media again on Friday to talk about how he feels currently.
"Taking it day by day," Rainey said, when asked how he is feeling. "It feels better every day. I'm just waiting, so, see what happens for the gametime."
Rainey was asked if that type of rib injury is painful even when he laughs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were back on the practice field on Friday in preparation for their Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs and the injury report for the day is now out.
Running backs Jonathan Dwyer (quad) and Chris Rainey (rib) were able to practice for a second straight day and both appear to be on course to play against the Chiefs. The Thursday injury report for the Pittsburgh Steelers has already been released and it shows that running back Chris Rainey practiced fully. According to Mike Bires of the Beaver County Times on Twitter, Rainey says that he suffered a cracked rib in the game against the New York Giants, but that he intends on playing Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have wrapped up their Thursday practice in preparation for their Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The first official practice injury report for the week is now out and it shows that running back Jonathan Dwyer (quad), running back Chris Rainey (rib), and kicker Shaun Suisham (ankle) all practiced fully.

Could the Pittsburgh Steelers possibly get safety Troy Polamalu back for the Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens? Judging by the Tuesday comments made by head coach Mike Tomlin during his weekly press conference, that indeed seems like a possibility.
Not only could we possibly see Polamalu back in a uniform for the Ravens game, but right tackle Marcus Gilbert as well.
"I think it will be another week with Marcus Gilbert and Troy," Tomlin said Tuesday. "I think they'll both participate in a limited capacity, but less optimistic about them (this week).

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his regular Tuesday press conference to talk about the win Sunday over the New York Giants and the upcoming Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tomlin updated the injuries heading into the week and said wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) has an ankle sprain which leaves his participation this week very much in doubt. Tomlin did not rule out a roster move later on in the week as a result and added that they will see where the week takes them in regard to Brown. They will leave the door ajar for him just the same

Depending on how severe the injuries are to wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Chris Rainey, the Pittsburgh Steelers might be forced to make a roster move later on in the week.
The team dresses four wide receivers on a weekly basis with Rainey serving as an emergency fifth, so you can see the dilemma that the coaching staff might be facing Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs should both Brown and Rainey ultimately be ruled out for the game.

Rumors circulated that Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chris Rainey suffered a punctured lung and a broken rib in the win Sunday over the New York Giants, but those rumors proved to be false as the rookie flew back on the plane with the team according to Alby Oxenreiter on Twitter.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media for his post game press conference following the 24-20 win Sunday over the New York Giants at MetLife stadium.
Tomlin said the team overcame a lot of adversity today.
As far as injuries suffered in the game , Tomlin said linebacker Adrian Robinson (quad) suffered a quad injury and running back Chris Rainey (ribs or rib/cartilage) suffered a rib injury of some kind. It should be noted that Rainey was in a ton of pain before being taken to the locker room and they had a tough time even getting his shoulder pads off of him.

The Pittsburgh Steelers might be banged up at the running back position, but the New York Giants are just as banged up at their linebacker position.
The Giants Friday injury report is now out and it shows linebacker Chase Blackburn (hamstring) and linebacker Jacquian Williams (knee) as both being out for the game Sunday. With Blackburn out, Boston College product Mark Herzlich is expected to start at middle linebacker in his place.
The injuries at linebacker do not stop there for the Giants as strong-side linebacker Keith Rivers (calf) is also listed as doubtful for the game in addition.

The final injury report for the week is now out, and as expected, safety Troy Polamalu (calf), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) have all been officially ruled out for the game Sunday.
Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) practice on Friday and told the media that he plans on starting Sunday after sitting out on Wednesday and Thursday.

Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports on Friday that no one expects to see Pittsburgh Steelers rookie guard David DeCastro in uniform any time soon and that there is some question as to whether or not he will play at all this season.
According to Kaboly, offensive line coach Sean Kugler didn’t sound as confident last week as he did back in August when DeCastro severly injured his right knee in the preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. “It is all on his timetable,” Kugler told Kaboly last week. “He had a pretty significant knee injury …”

The Thursday injury report is now out and it shows that linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring), linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) and running back Baron Batch (shin) did not practice. The status of Woodley heading into the weekend now appears to be in doubt after reinjuring his hamstring in the win Sunday over the Washington Redskins. Sylvester was termed as highly questionable by head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday.
