Offensive tackle Max Starks, a backup for most of last season, will return to the Pittsburgh Steelers after signing a one-year tender offer Monday worth $6.9 million. The Steelers designated Starks in February as their transition player, meaning they could match any offers to a player who otherwise would have been an unrestricted free agent.

A great sign yesterday as Fast Willie Parker was back on the field and seem to be almost back to normal. I do hope the Steelers address the back up RB spot this weekend, it is apparent that we need some depth. It seems Parker would'nt mind the help either.
In other news it seems the Steelers have 2 million in cap room still available. Look for them to restructure a few contracts in the coming weeks. Also, Two players who had late-season surgeries, Aaron Smith (biceps) and Troy Polamalu (knee), watched the first spring practice from the sideline. Defensive end Ryan McBean (foot) remains on crutches.
