Season 2, Episode 60 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd back from Las Vegas we dive right into the 5 star match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the St. Louis Rams taking place Saturday at Heinz Field. Ok, maybe not a 5 star. David and I start by looking at the Friday injury report and discussing the news that Charlie Batch will start over the injured Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. Will Ben still dress? We discuss it and wonder what it would take for him to have to play in this game at some point if he does dress. We discuss the injured players along with the roster move

Season 2, Episode 58 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I get right into the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-3 loss Monday night at Candlestick Park to the San Francisco 49ers. David was at the game so we start with his experience at being in the stadium during the power outages.
We quickly turn our attention to recapping the game and discuss the decision of head coach Mike Tomlin to start injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and we also give our thoughts on him leaving Ben in the entire game. They laughed, they fought, they cried. Well maybe not exactly, but in Episode 57 of season two of The Terrible Podcast, David Todd and I have some laughs and some disagreements as we discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers upcoming Monday night game with the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. As usual we start with the injury report and the status of Ben Roethlisberger, Maurkice Pouncey Emmanuel Sanders and Troy Polamalu and who we think will and will not play. We debate who should start at quarterback if Ben can't go and at left guard if Doug Legursky has to move to center and what the team should

Season 2, Episode 55 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I dive right into the Tuesday Mike Tomlin press conference and go over the Steelers injury situation as they head into the long week. Does Ben Roethlisberger really have to practice this week to play Monday night? Tomlin told the 49ers media something totally different in his conference call on Wednesday. Is Emmanuel Sanders really going to play this week? We have our concerns.
We move on to talk about the one game suspension of linebacker James Harrison and how Tomlin handled it differently than the fine handed down to Ryan

Season 2, Episode 55 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and have a little shorter show than normal, but do cram quite a bit of talk in the 30 plus minutes. We start with some recent injury updates today on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Maurkice Pouncey and how it looks like both are trending towards playing next Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers. We caution that it is still too early to know for certain though if both will or will not play. We talk about several games around the NFL on Sunday and focus in a little on the 49ers loss to the Arizona Cardinals, as that is

Season 2, Episode 54 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I get right into the Pittsburgh Steelers 14-3 win last night over the Cleveland Browns and start off with tipping our hat to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his ability to come back in the second half despite a nasty looking ankle injury. We recap the other injuries and wonder if center Maurkice Pouncey might be the one we should worry about the most being able to play a week from Monday against the San Francisco 49ers. During the injury talk we talk about the brief appearance of Charlie Batch in the game. Not very good.

Season 2, Episode 52 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I review the Steelers convincing 35-7 over the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field on Sunday. With a game coming up on Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns, also at Heinz Field, the Steelers regular practice schedule has been altered this week and Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference today (Monday) at noon. We recap that and the injury report and review a couple new Tomlinisms that the coach dropped. Absolute gems. And, as usual, Tomlin makes this week's opponent sound like one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Season 2, Episode 51 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I got the Friday show started by looking at the Steelers injury report entering the weekend. We also take a look at the Bengals injury report and how it could have a big impact on this game, especially in relation to the Bengals secondary. How good of a play-action quarterback is Ben Roethlisberger and how bad are the Bengals against play-action? I fill David in on a stat that tracks that. This could be a thing to watch on Sunday. We talk about the recent comments made by Rashard Mendenhall and how Bruce Arians responded to them

Season 2, Episode 49 of The Terrible Podcast is up and I David Todd joins me via a cellphone as he drives back to Pittsburgh after his Thanksgiving visit down to Georgia. Please excuse the call quality in this episode for that very reason.
David and I get right to it as we break down the Steelers sloppy win Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. We go over the injuries at the beginning of the show and make sure to talk about the concussion suffered by Troy Polamalu in the first quarter and discuss how his style of play has probably lent itself to his head injuries over the years. We move

Season 2, Episode 48 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I open with the Steelers Friday injury report as they get set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium. After that we move on to recap what we saw in the three Thanksgiving day games and give our thoughts on the actions of Ndamukong Suh yesterday that led to his ejection in the Lions game against the Packers. We both agree that his actions are far more egregious than anything that James Harrison has done and give our thoughts on what type of discipline Suh should receive and how it could end up costing

Season 2, Episode 46 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I go over the Sunday games that affected the Steelers the most. As you can imagine the talk is about the Ravens win over the Bengals yesterday, but we also get into hypotheticals of the other contending AFC teams as well. We discuss the overturned touchdown in the Bengals game and talk a little about the horse-collar rule in addition.
We discuss the Steelers key games down the stretch as well as the ones left for the Ravens, Bengals and Texans as well. Do the Steelers have a good chance at the #1 seed still? We discuss it.

We then get to some readers questions that we received over Twitter and email. Lots of good ones, keep them coming. We touch on the Steelers lack of interceptions and defensive scheme, update injury news and talk about kicker tackles and special teams among other things.
We then preview the big AFC North matchup this week between the Ravens and Bengals. It looks like neither Ray

Season 2, Episode 43 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with co-host David Todd tied up today I had a chance to catch up with Steelers beat writer Scott Brown from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. I ask Scott about Hines Ward and his situation going forward after the bye and if he thinks the Steelers have handled it right so far.
We talk injury status of Emmanuel Sanders of LaMarr Woodley and if he thinks either will play against the Chiefs following the bye. Cameron Heyward did not play a snap on defense for the first time this season Sunday and I ask Scott if he has unearthed any news or reason

Season 2, Episode 42 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I review the Steelers 24-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday. Not only did the Steelers get a crucial division road win, they appeared to get through the game relatively injury free and then got to watch the Ravens lay another egg a week after beating the Steelers. A good day all around.
David and I spend a lot of time this week actually going through the play-by-play and looking at what each team was trying to do both offensively and defensively and how the other team countered that. The first

Season 2, Episode 41 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I open with a look at the Steelers Friday injury report and who is in and who is out this week. With Emmanuel Sanders and Arnaz Battle out, will the Steelers have Tyler Grisham on the plane Saturday? We discuss that along with Bengals injuries as well. Tight end Jermaine Gresham is questionable for the Bengals and although they have survived without him in the last few games, both David and I see him as a big need for Cincinnati this week. We also touch on the Steelers claiming Al Woods off the waiver wire this week and I tell
