The playoffs begin today for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they take on the Denver Broncos in the 2nd AFC Wild Card game of the weekend in Denver. With a win, the Steelers will move on to face the New England Patriots next Saturday. As I have done each and every week this season, here are my 7 things to look for against the Broncos. Also included is my score prediction for the game.
Seeing Red - Isaac Redman will make his second career start at running back now that Rashard Mendenhall was lost for the season last week with a torn ACL in his right knee. His first start came back in week 5 against

What a way to close a horrible regular season as I went 11-5 straight up in the week 17 games and 12-4 against the spread. Where has that been all season? Through 17 weeks I am now 156-101 straight up and a dismal 113-145 against the spread. I had a great 2010 playoffs, so let's hope I am picking up steam at the right time. Here are the wild card weekend picks below with links to the previous weeks picks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday at Cleveland Municipal Stadium as they look to close out the regular season at 12-4. Most of the inactives for this week are pretty easy to decipher with two players already ruled out on the Friday injury report and one listed as doubtful. The big question is who is the 7th inactive this week on the list? As I do every week, here is the prediction of the 7 game inactives for Sunday and a few notes on each of the players. The official inactive list of players will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff and I will have them posted on the

It is the final game of the 2011 regular season for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they look to beat the Cleveland Browns before they head into the playoffs. A Steelers win combined with a Baltimore Ravens loss or tie against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday would give them the AFC North title along with a first round bye. As I do every week, here are my 7 things to look for against the Browns as the Steelers look to finish the regular season at 12-4. Also included is my score prediction for the game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the St. Louis Rams today at Heinz Field as they look to move to 11-4 on the season. The inactives for this week are pretty easy to decipher with three players already ruled out on the Friday injury report. The Steelers will once again likely dress all three quarterbacks for this game as well. As I do every week, here is the prediction of the 7 game inactives for Saturday and a few notes on each of the players. The official inactive list of players will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff and I will have them posted on the site as soon as they are announced.

It seems like the Pittsburgh Steelers just returned back from blacked out San Francisco and now they must turn around quickly, lick their wounds and host the 2-12 St. Louis Rams today at Heinz Field. Starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will not start this game due to his bad left ankle, but could be in uniform just in case of emergency. The Rams are a very depleted squad and that certainly will be just what the Steelers need on a short week. As I do every week, here are my 7 things to look for against the Rams as the Steelers look to move to 11-4 on the season along with my score prediction.

The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the San Francisco 49ers tonight at Candlestick Park as they look to move to 11-3 on the season and move a step closer to locking up the #1 seed in the AFC. The inactives this week are pretty easy to decipher with three players already ruled out on the Saturday injury report and one suspended for the week. There really is just one spot I think we have to make an educated guess on. As I do every week, here is the prediction of the 7 game inactives for tonight and a few notes on each of the players. The official list will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

On to week 15 we go my fellow degenerates. Week 14 picks saw a 13-3 straight up record and a 8-8 record against the spread. Through 14 weeks I am now 128-81 straight up and a dismal 86-124 against the spread. Here are the week 15 picks below with links to the previous weeks picks. Hopefully I can keep the positives going and am 2-0 after the Thursday & Saturday night games. I linked to both on Twitter.

The Monday night game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers will be short several key players as the Steelers will be without center Maurkice Pouncey, linebacker James Harrison and possibly even quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the 49ers look to be missing their best linebacker Patrick Willis. Should the Baltimore Ravens lose Sunday night to the San Diego Chargers, the Steelers will have a chance to take back over the lead in the AFC North with a win. The 49ers are still fighting to preserve a first round bye in the playoffs and recover from their loss last week against

Through 13 weeks I am 115-79 straight up and a dismal 78-116 against the spread. Here are the week 14 picks below with links to the previous weeks picks. The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns tonight at Heinz Field as they look to move to 10-3 on the season and inch even closer to a playoff birth. The short week went by fast and the Wednesday injury report shows that five players were ruled out and one player as doubtful. That makes the inactives for Thursday night very easy to predict with the only real choice being the 7th inactive. As I do every week, here is the prediction of the 7 game inactives and a few notes on each of the players. The official list will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

The Pittsburgh Steelers look to take one step closer to earning a playoff spot Thursday night at Heinz Field against the Cleveland Browns. A win by the Steelers on the short week will have spirits high and they will have a mini bye week of sorts to get ready for their week 15 Monday night game on the road against the San Francisco 49ers. A slip up against the lowly Browns would almost certainly put an end of any hopes of winning the AFC North and a conference loss could come into play down the road should they drop another game or two in their final three. This is a game they should and better

The Steelers are back home this week to host the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field. The final injury report on Friday showed two players ruled out in Arnaz Battle and Chris Carter. Larry Foote was listed as questionable, while LaMarr Woodley, Troy Polamalu, Emmanuel Sanders, Ben Roethlisberger, Stevenson Sylvester and Maurkice Pouncey were all listed as probable. Let's have a look at the injured players and predict the other remaining inactives this week as the Steelers look to move to 9-3 on the season and 2-2 in the AFC North. The official inactive list are released 90 minutes before kick-off
