Coach Mike Tomlin: What a beautiful game; and I mean that. I just told the team that. People get too preoccupied with style points. That was a beautiful football game because we displayed mettle and we hung together. Are we far from perfect? Yes. But this is our football team. Those guys fought, they believed in one another; and they didn’t blink in the face of adversity, most of which was caused by us; but that is life. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his usual Tuesday press conference on the South Side in preparation for the Sunday game at home versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Tomlin opened with stating the team needed to improve in two areas after watching the Patriots game tape. Tomlin noted red zone efficiency needs to improve for the offense and they need to start putting 7 points on the board instead of field goals. Secondly, Tomlin noted that the post snap penalties need to stop and need to be corrected.

Mike Tomlin addressed the media in his post game press confrernce following the 33-10 versus the New England Patriots. Tomlin called it a great team win and saw contributions from all three phases of the team. Tomin said the team embraced the weather and played accordingly. Tomlin said the team did not step outside of their personality. Tomlin praised the play of nose tackle Casey Hampton and special teamer Keyaron Fox. After a four day weekend the Steelers returned to work on Tuesday in preparation for the New England Patriots. Mike Tomlin addressed the media at noon for his weekly press conference. Tomlin opened up with an injury report. Cornerback Bryant McFadden is questionable and should practice this week as he tries to recover from a broken forearm. His status will determined later in the week. Starting running back Willie Parker has knee inflammation and is listed as questionable as well. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media in his post game press conference after the win versus the Bengals Thursday night. Injury wise, Tomlin said running back Willie Parker tweeked his knee again and they will not know more on him until Friday. Defensive end Brett Keisel might have suffered a serious knee injury, he will have it tested on Friday as well. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes suffered a concussion and was held out as a precaution. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media at noon to discuss the upcoming game, Thursday night, versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Tomlin started by saying the team had a great walk through this morning to install the initial game and will work again this afternoon. Tomlin commented that the Bengals seem to be finding a better rhythm. Tomlin commented again that reserve running back Gary Russell had two big third down and short carries and praised him. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media in his post game press conference against the Chargers saying that it was a great team effort by the Steelers today. Tomlin praised the defense and in particularly linebacker James Harrison's play. Tomlin did mention that the team shot themselves in the foot several times all day. Tomlin went on to praise the play of reserve running back Gary Russell and more importantly his short yardage carries. Tomlin all but said that the Steelers may found their short yardage back that they need. Tomlin praised special teams play today as well.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday during his weekly press conference that starting running back Willie Parker is being evaluated closely with his shoulder subluxation injury suffered against the Redskins and is scheduled to practice on Wednesday. Parker is currently listed as day-to-day and will be fitted with a shoulder harness. Boy I tell you, it’s a fine line between winning and losing in this league. You’ve got to give credit to the Colts. They made the plays necessary to win the football game. They took advantage of minute opportunities and made significant plays. We did not. It’s the difference between catching interception opportunities and not. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in his post game press conference that it is a fine line between winning and losing, he said the Colts made the plays and the Steelers did not. Colts came up with 3 turnovers, while the Steelers came away with none. Tomlin described quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's play as "not up to snuff", because the Steelers lost it is the only way he can describe it when you lose.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday in his weekly press conference that there is still no news on starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his injured shoulder. Roethlisberger is scheduled for a noon appointment to get his shoulder looked at. Tomlin stated that tight end Heath Miller will likely be doubtful this week with an ankle sprain. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin had a brief press conference following the 23-6 win over the Washington Redskins. Tomlin said more will be known about starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on Tuesday. Tomlin stated that Roethlisberger could have returned to the game if needed, but Tomlin felt it was best to keep him on the sideline with his injured right shoulder. Tomlin said it was great having Willie Parker back at running back and thought he looked good. Tomlin will update all the injuries, including tight end Heath Miller, during his normal Tuesday press conference.
