Mike Tomlin held his post game press conference following the Steelers 17-13 win this afternoon at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tomlin said it was great to get the win but not the type of finish they were looking for. Obviously they will take it. Tomlin acknowledges they did not play the style of football they like to play in the second half. Did not get off the field enough and gave them an extra possession on the roughing of the punter and the offense was not good enough on 3rd downs to sustain drives.

Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians talked to the media today per his normal Q & A Thursday session and talked about the play of the offensive line last week against the Titans. He also discussed the Jaguars linebackers and the health of the Steelers running backs heading into week 6. Arians does not seem too positive about Mewelde Moore playing this week and he did not hesitate to say that Rashard Mendenhall will be the starter this week. It is Tuesday and that means Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media today for his weekly press conference to discuss the win over the Titans this past Sunday and give a look ahead at the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars this coming Sunday at Heinz Field. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his post game press conference following the Steelers week 5 win against the Tennessee Titans at Heinz Field. Tomlin opened by saying it was a good bounce back week for the team coming off the loss last week and he thought it was the appropriate response and that they played together today. He thought they played well in all three phases and made necessary plays when they were needed.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media today for his weekly Tuesday press conference to discuss the loss to the Texans this past Sunday as well as the upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans this coming Sunday at Heinz Field. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media for his post game press conference following the Steelers 17-10 loss to the Houston Texans this afternoon down in Houston. Tomlin updated the condition of several injured players and said linebacker James Harrison had some blurred vision for a while but came back into the game. Running back Rashard Mendenhall has a right hamstring injury and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a left foot injury and was getting X-rays after the game. Tomlin said quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be fine after suffering a knee injury and once he was cleared to return he was back in.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his post game press conference to discuss the Steelers 35-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Baltimore. Tomlin said the Steelers were beat in all three phases of the game today. Tomlin said linebacker James Harrison suffered a knee contusion late in the game, but he did not think it will be serious. Tomlin also said that James Farrior was not injured and that the game plan was to get Larry Foote in the game today because he thought he earned it during the preseason.

Mike Tomlin held his post-game press conference following the Steelers 33-17 win over the Carolina Panthers Thursday night on the road in Charlotte. Tomlin said in 47 seconds that he was impressed by the effort tonight and virtually came out of the game injury free. Tomlin said he exercised caution with all of the players that were nicked up with minor injuries as he wanted to take a look at unproven players tonight anyways. Tomlin said he acknowledges that they go to Baltimore next week. This was the shortest Steelers post game presser ever. Enjoy!

Tomlin opened by saying this is the last opportunity for a few players to make their case to make the 53 man roster.

Mike Tomlin held his post-game press conference following the Steelers 34-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons Saturday night at Heinz Field. Tomlin said quarterback Byron Leftwich broke his left arm and will be out for an extended amount of time. Tight end Miguel Chavis tore his left pectoral muscle. Center Maurkice Pouncey aggravated his left ankle, but the injury is not deemed serious. Cornerback Keenan Lewis will be reevaluated on Sunday with a left knee injury, but Tomlin did not seem to think it is serious. Other injuries were not deemed serious.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his pregame press conference today prior to the Saturday night game against the Falcons at Heinz Field.

Tomlin says he is excited to play a quality team like Falcons as it will be a good test especially against the four man front of Falcons defense.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in his post game press conference following the 24-14 win over the Eagles that he liked what saw tonight and that they got better in some areas. As far as injuries go, tackles Jonathan Scott (knee) and Marcus Gilbert (knee) both hyper-extended their knees and Tomlin thought Scott would be fine. No word on Gilbert. Mike Tomlin held his first official press conference of the preseason today and here are the highlights and talking points from today as the Steelers get ready to face the Redskins on Friday.
Tomlin opened by saying that they are really going to take a simple approach to this game as far as the evaluation of the players. He said they will see who can block under those conditions, tackle, run, pass and kick. There are no hard core plans as far as things they want to specifically see from people.
