According to ESPN.com, the Pittsburgh Steelers issued their restricted tenders on Saturday. Running back Jonathan Dwyer, running back Isaac Redman, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and nose tackle Steve McLendon all received $1.323 million tenders. Dwyer and Sanders were issued original round tenders. That means the Steelers would receive compensation of a draft pick that corresponds with the round that each was originally drafted should either wind up signing with another team. Steelers Release LB James Harrison

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released veteran linebacker James Harrison on Saturday. Harrison, who had two years left on his contract, was scheduled to make $6.57 million in 2013 and $7.575 million in 2014. His release will clear $5.105 million in cap prior to displacement in the top 51 salaries on the team. The Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced on Monday that they have signed free agent cornerback William Gay to a three-year contract. The length of the contract, more than the one-year deal that I was expecting, is a bit of a surprise, but I wouldn't read too much into the length of the deal as the signing bonus will tell us everything that we need to know. Steelers Officially Waive RB Chris Rainey On Monday

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially severed ties on Monday with one of their 2012 draft picks as running back Chris Rainey was officially waived, according to Bob Labriola on Twitter. The Steelers announced back on January 10 that the Florida product would be waived following his simple battery arrest earlier that day down in Gainesville, Florida. The Pittsburgh Steelers added another player to their offseason roster on Monday as it was announced that wide receiver Kashif Moore has been signed to a reserve/future contract for the 2013 season. Moore was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals out of University of Connecticut following the 2012 draft. The Bengals, however, released him after training camp and just prior to the start of the 2012 season. Steelers Sign CB Justin King To A One-Year Contract

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed cornerback Justin King to a one-year contract on Wednesday, according to Bob Labriola on Twitter. King ended the season on the Steelers 53 man roster after being signed in the middle of December after DeMarcus Van Dyke suffered a shoulder injury that would end his season. King is a Pittsburgh native and a graduate of Gateway High and was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams after playing his college ball at Penn State. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed two more players to their offseason roster on Friday as Bob Labriola reports that kicker Danny Hrapmann and tight end Zack Pianalto were signed to reserve future contracts. Hrapmann, a product of Southern Mississippi, was with the Steelers last offseason and 6 for 6 on his attempts during the 2012 preseason with a long of 43. The Pittsburgh Steelers have added yet another player to their offseason roster on Wednesday as linebacker Brian Rolle has been signed on to a reserve/future contact. Rolle was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, where he was a two-year starter at middle linebacker. The Pittsburgh Steelers made a couple of roster moves on Friday as wide receiver David Gilreath and nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu were signed off of the practice squad. In addition to those moves the Steelers placed wide receiver Mike Wallace, tackle Mike Adams and cornerback Curtis Brown on injured reserve. The injuries in the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary forced the team, to make a roster move on Tuesday as veteran cornerback Justin King was signed to the 53 man roster. King, a Penn State product, had worked out for the Steelers a few weeks ago after Ike Taylor suffered his right ankle injury. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall has been reinstated to the team on Monday following his one week suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. Upon his reinstatement the team asked for and received a 24 hour roster exemption which means that they now have until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday to make a corresponding roster move to make room for him.
