The Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced on Friday the signing of free agent cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke and placed rookie right guard David DeCastro on the injured reserve list as the designated player to return after 8 weeks. DeCastro injured his right knee in the Steelers preseason game against the Buffalo Bills and has since had surgery. The Pittsburgh Steelers have reached an injury settlement with running back John Clay and he has been released according to Ed Bouchette on Twitter. Clay, who was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin last year, suffered a torn quad a week ago this past Sunday. Some surprising news on Friday as it has been announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed wide receiver Antonio Brown to a five-year, $42.5 million contract extension. Brown was entering the final year of his rookie contract and would have been a restricted free agent following the 2012 season.
