The NFL combine is now over and we start the countdown to the 2011 NFL draft in April. Without a doubt, cornerbacks and offensive linemen look to be a high priority for the Steelers this go around. It would not be surprising to see two of each drafted this year. Being as these two positions are perhaps the biggest need, I thought it would be fun to look back at the cornerbacks and offensive linemen drafted by the Steelers in the Kevin Colbert era that started back in 2000. Below are the 26 players that fit that description and some quick notes on each.

The mother of Steelers linebacker James Harrison is expected in court on Monday. She is one of three people charged in connection with the brawl at a VFW Hall in Akron, Ohio, during the Steelers game with the Cleveland Browns in December.
Speaking of James Harrison, John Harris reports that Harrison's role changed somewhat in 2009, as he became more responsible for dropping into pass coverage. That resulted in fewer opportunities for him to pass rush. Couple that with un called holding calls and a late season injury, could explain his drop in numbers.
I broke the news yesterday that practice

Coming off of a five game losing streak, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin decided to do something about it himself, with a little help from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as well. After kicker Jeff Reed kicked a 43 yard field goal to put the Steelers up 30-28 with 3:58 left in the game, Tomlin did the unthinkable. Tomlin approved an onsides kick in attempt to keep the pourous defense off of the field, but Ike Taylor was flagged for an illegal touching of the ball when it did not travel 10 yards before being recovered.
