Super Bowl XLV is still more than a week and a half away and already the Steelers are faced with some tough decisions for the game day roster on Super Bowl Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. It is no surprise that rookie center Maurkice Pouncey is looking real doubtful to be ready after his high left ankle sprain suffered in the AFC Championship Game against the New York Jets. Jim Wexell of Steel City Insider reported today on Twitter that Steelers rookie center Maurkice Pouncey is still on crutches and has his injured left ankle in a cast of sorts. Wexell reported that it looked like a hard cast and said that Pouncey did not know when it was coming off. Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu and outside linebacker James Harrison were named to the Associated Press All-Pro first-team on Monday. It was the 3rd time for Polamalu in his career. OK, where do we start? We are AFC Champions. How is that? The stat line on Ben Roethlisberger no way tells the story of his performance. The 2 interceptions were acceptable if there were such a thing. Rashard Mendenhall flubbed one and the other deep ball was worth a shot. I can live with both of those. He made plays when he had to and bruised his thigh early in the game when he took a knee to it. That big 3rd down throw to Antonio Brown is why you want Ben on your side.
