The Ravens started practice preparations for the AFC Championship Game on Wednesday minus several key players resting with injuries. DT Justin Bannan (Foot), WR Mark Clayton (Thigh), LB Jarret Johnson (Calf), WR Derrick Mason (Knee), RB Le'Ron McClain (Ankle), CB Samari Rolle (Thigh) and LB Terrell Suggs (Shoulder) all sat out on Wednesday nursing injuries. TE Todd Heap (Back), LB Ray Lewis (Shoulder), RB Lorenzo Neal (Shoulder) and S Ed Reed (Knee) were all limited in participation on Wednesday.
The Steelers started practice preparations for the Sunday AFC Championship Game versus the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday. C Justin Hartwig (Knee), S Troy Polamalu (Calf) did not practice because of injuries. RB Willie Parker (Not Injury Related), DE Aaron Smith (Not Injury Related), CB Deshea Townsend (Not Injury Related) and WR Hines Ward (Not Injury Related) also did not participate in practice and were given the day off and should work fully on Thursday.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his normal noon Tuesday press conference in preparation for the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens. Tomlin opened with really calling this game the AFC North Championship game and the team understands the magnitude of this game and the importance of the Lamar Hunt Trophy. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin faced the media following the 35-24 win versus the San Diego Chargers. Tomlin started with saying that the big people on both sides of the ball played well today and noted the play of the Steelers special teams play. Tomlin said there is a very mentally tough group right now in the locker room. This would set up a third meeting this season between the Ravens and Steelers in which the Steelers have won both games thus far.
