Roethlisberger Exposes Feet To Wife On Hawaii Golf Course

While out in Hawaii for the 2012 Pro Bowl, it appears that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger got in a round of golf on Tuesday with his wife Ashley Harlan serving as chief photographer and wearer of black sun dress. The left ankle that Roethlisberger injured against the Cleveland Browns seems to be doing just fine as you can plainly see that he his not wearing an ankle brace or even shoes for matter. Steelers LB Coach Keith Butler Staying With Steelers

Some great news to pass on tonight as Gerry Dulac reports via Twitter that Pittsburgh Steelers linebackers coach Keith Butler is staying with Steelers and will not be the new defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts. Butler, who now appears to still be the heir apparent to Dick LeBeau, was tops on the list of Colts new head coach Chuck Pagano. Both Butler and Pagano had coached together on the staff of the Cleveland Browns years ago along with former Steelers and new Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians. The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be losing another coach on their staff as according Adam Schefter, Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano plans to hire Steelers linebackers coach, Keith Butler as his new defensive coordinator. The Colts added former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians on Saturday and the three were all on the Cleveland Browns staff years ago. Butler began coaching with the Steelers under former head coach Bill Cowher and has been coaching the linebackers for the past nine seasons. Gerry Dulac is reporting tonight that Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians might not return in 2012. Dulac reports that it is unclear if Arians is retiring or is just not having his contract renewed at this time. Arians has been the Steelers offensive coordinator since 2007 and was the Steelers wide receivers coach from 2004–2006. Before coming to the Steelers, Arians was the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator from 2001–2003. Ed Bouchette reported today on 93.7 The Fan that Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall has had his surgery now on the torn ACL in his right knee. Mendenhall injured the knee on the final play of the first quarter in the week 17 game against the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland on a 5 yard run to the right side. Reportedly they were waiting on the swelling to go down on the knee before Mendenhall had his surgery, as expected. The Pittsburgh Steelers will wear new "throwback" uniforms for two homes games in 2012 as the team celebrates its 80th season in the NFL according to team Steelers president Art Rooney II on Tuesday. Rooney met with several of the Pittsburgh media today for a 20 plus minute interview to put a wrap on the 2011 season and look forward to 2012. Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey had surgery on his injured left ankle on Thursday and is currently in a cast presumably for the next several weeks. You can see the casted left ankle in the picture below as he signs his limited edition 2012 Pro Bowl shirts. Pouncey says he will be ready for training camp in Latrobe according to his Twitter feed. Scott Brown reported this morning that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will take quarterback coach Randy Fichtner with him to Hawaii for the 2012 Pro Bowl as a guest. This news means that Roethlisberger likely has every intention of playing in the game right now and it will be interesting to see if he is still forced to wear the special shoe as support for his injured left ankle that hobbled him the final quarter of the season. Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey is having surgery today presumably on his injured left ankle and as a result will likely have to bypass the Pro Bowl. Pouncey started 14 games for Steelers this past season, but he re-injured the same left ankle against the Cleveland Browns in week 13 that forced him to sit out the Super Bowl last February.
