Steelers linebacker James Harrison said that he did nothing wrong on the play that resulted in a personal foul penalty yesterday on the hit of Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The league will surely be reviewing the hit and you can see it slow motion right here.

Steelers linebacker James Harrison said he believes the league should suspend Raiders Richard Seymour for what he did to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Chris Hoke, Maurkice Pouncey, Lawrence Timmons, Ziggy Hood, Emmanuel Sanders, Troy Polamalu, James Farrior and Mike Wallace all have post game interviews up on Steelers.com following the win.
Starting next Sunday, new sod will be laid on Heinz Field after the West Virginia-Pitt game Friday and four WPIAL championship games Saturday take place. Both the Raiders and Patriots complained to the league about the field conditions.

Ron Cook wrote this morning that Steelers defensive end Aaron Smith was told he would be out 8-9 weeks with partially torn triceps. That puts him perhaps returning for the Panthers game. Hopefully no other injuries occur.
Ed Bouchette reports that crowd noise was a huge factor Sunday night in New Orleans and it apparently caught the Steelers players and coaches off-guard and left them confused.

Steelers right guard Trai Essex insists Flozell Adams will be starting the season at right tackle and noted that he has not lined up at right tackle one time in camp. Ed Bouchette notes in the article that the Steelers thus far in two preseason games, have run 76 times in 120 plays or 63.3 percent of the time.

Perhaps the biggest news to come out of the Thursday Mike Tomlin press conference was the word that Jonathan Scott would work at right tackle with the first-string offense after Flozell Adams exits. We broke down Adams 11 snaps earlier in the week and he was not even close with his pass blocking. Adams hopefully will improve leaps and bounds this week as we will be watching both very closely. The fact is that neither measure up to Willie Colon thus far from where we are standing.

Neither Maurkice Pouncey nor rookie running back Jonathan Dwyer is expected to be sidelined very long with their hamstring problems. Guard Ramon Foster could resume light workouts as early as today. Casey Hampton was also held out on Sunday as well with a hamstring strain, but it is not deemed serious.

Cornerback Ike Taylor, who will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2010 season, will not be a holdout when training camp opens, according John Harris, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "Ike is going to honor his contract," said Herman Francois, Taylor's uncle. "That's the way he's been taught. He's going to come to work." It is still early yet, but look for Taylor to be in line behind linebacker LaMarr Woodley as far as a new contract getting done. Also kicker Jeff Reed is looking for a new deal as well.

The sagging real estate market and economy has taken down another victim this time in the form of Steelers all time great center Dermontti Dawson. Dawson filed for bankruptcy in the Eastern District of Kentucky United States Bankruptcy Court. We wish Dirt the best in his attempt to get reorganized financially.
Craig Wolfley explains the Steelers old saying "Hunker-Down-Dawg" and how it relates to the Steelers and the recent loss of right tackle Willie Colon to a season ending injury. Wolf goes on to say that offensive line play is as much attitude as it is "athletic-tude."
