Steelers linebacker James Harrison checked in at #21 on the NFL top 100 players of 2011 list that the NFL Network has been running for the last several weeks. This leaves only Troy Polamalu left of the four Steelers players that made the list and he will finish somewhere in the top 20 now. Many remember that former Steelers running back John Henry Johnson, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, passed away earlier this month after a battle with Alzheimer's at 81 years old. Prior to his death, Johnson agreed to having his brain studied to determine the possible impact football has on the health of players. Bob Read more [...]

Steelers Promote CB Lewis, Release WR Baker

On Saturday the Steelers made a surprising roster move. Not surprising was the promotion of rookie cornerback Roy Lewis to their active roster. The Steelers injured secondary made the move necessary. Surprisingly though, to make room on the roster, wide receiver Dallas Baker was released. This might signal the Steelers being more comfortable with rookie wide receiver Limas Sweed as the number four receiver going forward.

Tomorrow's game against the New York Giants will be a huge measuring stick of where exactly the Steelers are in comparison to the rest of the league.
