Dan Wetzel has a great timeline up that documents New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady from locker room to boarding the team bus after the loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. Speaking of the Patriots team bus, Brady's wife Gisele Bundchen threw the Patriots wide receivers underneath it on the way out of the stadium following the game. Bundchen was caught using an F-bomb expletive on camera while doing it as well. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is playing host to a free two-day camp yesterday and today for boys and girls ages 7-14 at Brashear High School. The camp is funded by the corporate sponsors, who underwrite the entire camp. Pro Football Focus has the pass blocking efficiency numbers up now for the tight ends and the running backs and I found it surprising that the Ravens Ray Rice and the Vikings Adrian Peterson finished the lowest of the backs with enough snaps to qualify. Rashard Mendenhall did not have enough pass block attempts to qualify, but his numbers equate to a 10.11 using their formula Read more [...]
* You have to hand it to Willie Parker and the sudden explosion of self promotion he has done in an attempt to get himself back in Pittsburgh to finish his career. I could have done without his back handed slap at the Redskins, but it sounds like he was speaking from his heart about his short time there. I put his chances at being back at Latrobe at about 20-25% and he would have to sign for the minimum salary based on his accrued years and would have to also knock socks off in training camp should it happen. In addition, Parker would likely have to contribute on special teams and prove he is even Read more [...]
Former Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart was booked into jail of Alpharetta, Georgia on Wednesday after being charged with driving with a suspended license when stopped for speeding. The Steelers will likely wait and see how the labor issues play out before working out a long term deal with Woodley.
