Mike Tomlin held his post-game press conference following the Steelers 34-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons Saturday night at Heinz Field. Tomlin said quarterback Byron Leftwich broke his left arm and will be out for an extended amount of time. Tight end Miguel Chavis tore his left pectoral muscle. Center Maurkice Pouncey aggravated his left ankle, but the injury is not deemed serious. Cornerback Keenan Lewis will be reevaluated on Sunday with a left knee injury, but Tomlin did not seem to think it is serious. Other injuries were not deemed serious.
Below is the audio of the press conference.

The Steelers take on the Falcons Saturday night at Heinz Field in their third preseason game of the 2011 season. The Steelers rebounded last week against the Eagles after a dismal performance against the Redskins and will look to build on the showing they made last. This will be the last game for 10 roster hopefuls as the first wave of cuts will be made Sunday or Monday as they cut down to 80 players. A few questions still linger as far as the 53 man roster goes. As I do every week, here are my 7 things to watch for tonight.
Rookie Blind Side - Rookie left tackle Marcus Gilbert will likely get

Season 2, Episode 10 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I discuss what has been a very quiet camp for the Steelers thus far. Fortunately there has only been one significant injury (to 7th round pick RB Baron Batch) and very little of the off-field drama that we have seen in seasons past. With such a veteran roster there really is only one starting position up for grabs, right guard, and probably only 3-5 roster spots on the 53-man roster open to competition. While it certainly makes for less news and intrigue, I'm sure the Steelers would be prefer it be like this every year.

Below are the players that will not dress for tonight's second preseason game as the Steelers take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Heinz Field. Head coach Mike Tomlin ruled out multiple players a few days ago and a few more could sit out as well. Keep checking back up until game-time as I will be updating this list if more names are announced as being inactive. Check back after the game for a full recap of the game and my post-game notes and observations.

Season 2, Episode 8 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I get a full preview in of the Steelers second preseason game against the Eagles tonight at Heinz Field. We get things started by going over the players that will not play tonight and how thin the Steelers are particularly at the cornerback position. We move on to recap the news of the Limas Sweed release. David was a little surprised it happened so soon, while I on the other hand was not shocked. We hit on the Steelers recent attempt of claiming Thaddeus Gibson off waivers this week as well.
As we move along I cover the things

The Steelers take on the Eagles tonight at Heinz Field in their second preseason game of the 2011 season. The roster is sorting itself out slowly, but there are still a few battles and spots that have yet to won. The starters should get a little more playing time tonight as the entire team looks to improve on their overall dismal performance last week against the Redskins. As I do every week, here are my 7 things to watch for tonight.
Climbing Hills - 4th year offensive lineman Tony Hills is slated to start at right guard tonight to show his position flexibility and make a run at the spot. Chris

Not much to talk about on day 11 of Steelers training camp as the players had off on Sunday and will resume practice tomorrow.
Late last night an article surfaced about the short free agency period that Willie Colon went through and how his agent thought he might be a fit for the Bears even though they wanted him to move to guard.
Remember Doug Worthington? He was the Steelers 7th round draft pick in 2010 and he was signed by the Redskins today after a brief stay with the Buccaneers.
Former Steelers special teams captain and reserve linebacker Keyaron Fox signed with the Redskins as well

Day 9 of Steelers training camp got off to a great start when it was announced that LaMarr Woodely had signed a 6-year, $61 million dollar extension. Woodley was currently carrying the franchise tag that was set to pay him $10 million plus in 2011. The extension now means he is under contract through the 2016 season and he know will count around $6.35 million against the Steelers 2011 salary cap.
Woodley talked about his new contract this morning and you can read about it on Steelers.com.
Now that Woodley is locked up, I posted my thoughts on who the Steelers may turn their attention to.

Several Steelers players will have small extra roles in the new Batman movie that is currently filming in Pittsburgh. Dark Knight Rises will be shooting a football scene Saturday at Heinz Field and you can see a flyover shot of Heinz here as they have the field painted up.
Thomas Tull is the film's executive producer and he joined the Steelers ownership group two years ago. Ed Bouchette reported that he and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger have become close over the last few years and Roethlisberger will indeed be one of the many Steelers players to be in the film. In addition to Roethlisberger,

I have speculated for a long time that if indeed Willie Colon were to be re-signed by the Steelers, that there could be a chance he kicks inside to right guard. Most did not take my prediction as one that would hold water, but it certainly makes sense. Steelers beat writer Gerry Dulac tried to squash the talk of a move to guard by Colon this offseason and even stated back in May, Dulac stated it was not going to happen and that we will see cheerleaders on the sideline at Heinz Field before Colon is moved to guard in the offense.
I took Dulac to task right after his May post and defended my thoughts

Steelers offensive lineman Ramon Foster said via Twitter that he talked to several players who said their teams didn't vote for the top 100 players in the recent NFL Network list. Fellow Steelers Ryan Clark and LaMarr Woodley have tweeted pretty much the same thing since the show started. Perhaps only Patriots, Ravens and Packers player s were allowed to vote.
Speaking of Woodley, look for the linebacker on the Thursday night episode of NY Ink getting his latest tattoo done this offseason.
Joel Segal, the agent for cornerback Ike Taylor, would not comment Tuesday on whether he has spoken with

Steelers tackle Willie Colon was on Sirius NFL Radio this morning and told host Ross Tucker that he still wants to play for the Steelers even though they've passed up multiple opportunities to extend his contract. Colon told Tucker, "The Steelers do things their own way, and I'm not worried about the money. I just like being a mean SOB on Sundays." Colon went on to also say, "I'm chasing Super Bowl rings, not wedding rings."
The way the new CBA is shaping up, it looks almost certain that Colon will finally get his chance to become an unrestricted free agent after missing out on being unrestricted
