ESPN AFC North blogger James Walker is reporting that Steelers restricted free agent quarterback Dennis Dixon will sign his one-year restricted free-agent tender. The move is expected as early as today according to the report, which will allow Dixon to practice later this week.
Dixon's agent Jeff Sperbeck said that the desire for a trade and an opportunity to compete for a starting job elsewhere remains the same, but added it was in the best interest for Dixon to get into training camp before he missed even more time.
The Steelers tendered Dixon at a fifth-round level before the lockout started

Mark Madden is at it again and this time he calls linebacker James Harrison an embarrassment for Pittsburgh and thinks the Steelers should suspend Harrison for the week one game against the Ravens. Perhaps Madden needs to think about taking some anger management classes as well.
Speaking of Harrison, the recently retired Mike Vrabel doesn't believe he should be fined for his comments about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and if he is, think the NFLPA will likely take issue with it.
The NFLPA executive committee members began arriving in Washington, D.C., today and will meet through Tuesday

ESPN North blogger James Walker did a team-by-team look at the most underrated players in the division and listed defensive end Brett Keisel as his Steelers choice and that is not a bad selection at all in my opinion.
Mike Florio attempted to do the Steelers team checklist and missed the mark on quite a few things including bringing back Plaxico Burress and letting Ike Taylor walk. Both are incredibly stupid notions in my opinion coming from a guy who proclaims to be a long time fan of the Steelers..

Sure I am a Steelers blogger and look at stuff concerning the Steelers with my black and gold glasses on most of the time. In the latest power rankings that ESPN put out that ranks the tight ends, they have Steelers tight end Heath Miller ranked 13th overall and Miller received just 2 top 10 votes from John Clayton and ESPN North blogger James Walker. If they are basing their power rankings on the 2010 season alone, which it seems they are in the case of Miller, then the drop off in production that Miller had statistically in 2010 versus 2009 might be some what of a valid argument. In defense of
